Carb and ignition tuning on chassis dyno?

Hi Guys,

For some time Ia have been working on my carburetor and ignition system. For cruising around id works OK. Though i would like to use a chassis dyno to find if the calibration for high load conditions are good. And if the ignition timing is good, not to little advance to late and not to much advance to soon.
Most dyno's on this side of the pond are more orientated for webers.

What should i look for?

Is there a standard procedure that works best?
- first ignition
- main jet tuning
- part throttle tuning? Does steady state also work on a chassis dyno?
- Would a gas analyzer be beneficial? On the old board a 5 gas analyzer was often recommended to check the combustion quality instead of only AFR.

Get it running and base the timing conservatively. Base line Dyno pull. Work on getting the fuel mixture stable first. when you are happy with the air fuel curve, you can begin speeding up the burn with timing.

You can treat the Dyno, like a rolling road. Set Idle and decell, part throttle cruise and decell, heavy cruise and decell, and wot. You can sample all these points for reference as well.
